A Toronto photographer, models from Boston, and a Montreal studio converge on Cape Cod to create a new brand image for Marmara
Flight AC 7502 arrives in Montreal, carrying photographer Christopher Morrison, fresh off a photo shoot in Bermuda. A new adventure is about to begin for him—as well as for Boston models Andrea, Erica, and Eric and renowned stylist and makeup artist Yojanse Jimenez.
They are all taking part in the making of a new brand image for Marmara Imports—importer of eco-friendly Turkish towels. The much-anticipated photo shoot was held in locations around Cape Cod, in the U.S., bringing together a team of stylists, makeup artists, assistants, and even caterers. Everyone was eagerly ready to begin, as there were various locations to shoot in—including outdoors—over the course of four days. The biggest challenge? The weather, which had just turned Cape Cod’s famous beaches an awkward degree of cold. We had to juggle locations, intermittent rain, sunny breaks, icy conditions, changing light, wrapping models in sleeping bags to warm them up between poses, and coordinating the Marmara products we’d come to photograph. The result? Not the nightmare one would have expected under such conditions. In fact, everything flowed smoothly. Everyone added to the experience by their presence, patience, good humour, personality, and professionalism, and even our clients’ expectations were surpassed.
Thank you to the whole team, including the children who accompanied their parents to Cape Cod and took part in the photo shoot. A special thank you to Marmara founders Carol and Susan, for allowing us to put this great adventure together one long-weekend in Cape Cod. To date, TOTEM has worked with Marmara to completely revamp their image, create their brand book, put communication and marketing tools together, and program their new website featuring online transactions. See for yourself at Marmara Imports.
